Choghadiya Today: Shubh Muhurat for Your City
Today’s day and night choghadiya for 41 cities, each computed from that city’s own sunrise and sunset, with its own festival dates, temples and Hindu community. For any other place, the Panchang page finds your location and shows the same tables.
Choghadiya is the simplest muhurat system in the Hindu Panchang: the day and the night are each divided into eight periods, and each period is auspicious (Amrit, Shubh, Labh), neutral (Char) or inauspicious (Rog, Kaal, Udveg). It is anchored to the local sun, so a devotee in New Jersey and a devotee in Ahmedabad see different clock times for the same weekday order. The smaller links under a city open that page with the exact times of a nearby town.
